The Commission Studio

Your idea already
has a pulse.

Come here for a character with an inner life or a deck that needs to become a coherent world. Choose as much support as the dream—and the budget—actually needs.

How this studio works

A way into the work
at more than one scale.

Character commissions use an artist-directed, AI-assisted process with hands-on concept development, selection, editing, compositing, and visual refinement. The work can begin with a portrait or grow into deeper character and story development.

Published ranges are starting guides—not automatic quotes. Number of subjects, complexity, revisions, usage rights, deadlines, and the condition of existing materials determine the final scope.

Practice I · Character creation & portraits

Not only a face.
A person who belongs somewhere.

D&D characters, fantasy portraits, original characters, couples, and deeper character development. Projects typically fall between $35 and $650+. Your exact quote depends on complexity, development depth, number of characters, revisions, and usage.

01

D&D & Fantasy Portraits

A visual identity for a character you already know—from a personal campaign, original story, roleplay world, or impossible place of your own.

02

Original Character Creation

Build the person as well as the picture: appearance, personality, symbolism, visual language, and the details that make them feel specific.

03

Characters in Relationship

Couples, rivals, families, companions, and other bonds where the pose, atmosphere, and emotional dynamic matter as much as either face.

04

Character Development & Bibles

A deeper package for writers and worldbuilders: role, history, motivations, relationships, wardrobe or expression direction, and coordinated character art.

Every project receives a written quote before booking. Commercial rights, rush work, and additional revision rounds are scoped separately.

Practice III · Tarot & oracle

You do not need to buy
the entire dream at once.

Enter through a single session, leave with a blueprint, establish a reusable visual system, or commission a complete deck. Larger projects can be divided into paid milestones so the work can pause safely between phases.

01

Dream Deck Session

A focused concept session covering purpose, audience, structure, scope, and the clearest next move.

Session fee can be credited toward a larger package.
$75–$125
02

Deck Blueprint

Concept, emotional thesis, card-count or suit structure, visual direction, and a practical production roadmap.

Designed for creators who want to build much of the deck themselves.
$175–$350
03

Visual Starter

Blueprint, palette, typography, card-frame direction, three to five sample cards, and a reusable visual system.

A complete foundation without purchasing a complete deck build.
$350–$700
04

Guided Co-Creation

Collaborative direction, visual system, key artwork, templates, review sessions, and packaging guidance.

A strong fit for creators completing portions through Aether Forge.
$900–$1,800

Complete AI-assisted deck builds

From first card
to finished system.

Complete builds are quoted after a blueprint or discovery phase. The range depends on card count, how much writing and artwork exists, revision needs, packaging, guidebook scope, and manufacturing preparation.

Small oracle deck
$1,200–$2,500
Large oracle deck
$1,800–$3,500
Full 78-card tarot
$2,500–$5,000+

Phased payment schedules are available for co-creation and complete deck projects.

The working agreement

Clarity before
the making begins.

  1. 01

Inquiry and scope. We identify the deliverables, usage, timeline, and the right tier of support.

  2. 02

Written quote and booking. Character work normally begins with a 50% retainer; larger deck work is divided into paid phases.

  3. 03

Creation and focused revision. The quote states the included revision rounds and approval points.

  4. 04

Final delivery. Finished files and the agreed usage rights are delivered after the remaining balance is paid.

Commercial rights, copyright buyouts, rush work, and revisions beyond the agreed scope are quoted separately.

An inquiry does not reserve a date. Work begins only after the written scope and first payment are accepted.
